Introduction:

Dr. Terence Wong was born in Hong Kong, where he studied a nursing Diploma. Dr. Wong wished to work in an industry where he could help people. In a special opportunity, he was given a chance to study at the Queensland University of Technology as an exchange student. During his time in Brisbane, he found that his real interest was in dentistry; therefore he made the decision to study Dental Science in Australia. Dr. Wong successfully obtained an offer for a Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland.

After graduation, Dr. Wong worked in a private practice in Ascot and Sunnybank, Queensland. Terence’s motto is: “No matter where you come from, I will provide the best treatment to you “.

Dr. Wong also understands that poverty can lead to poor health, particularly oral health. Therefore he has volunteered in his spare time including at the Refugee Oral Health Pilot Project at the QEII Hospital, Queensland and at the Tara Oral Health Mission. He found that it was the lack of information that patients had on oral care that lead to most of their dental decay problems. For this reason, Dr. Wong strongly emphasises patient education.
In the future, he plans to develop his professional skills in Implantology and Orthodontic treatment in order to help more people.
