Dr. Richard Chen
Introduction:
Richard Chen was I was born in 1961, Guangzhou, a famous southern port city of China. Dr. Chen’s parents were only to be deprived of a proper primary school education in the tumultuous years of the "Cultural Revolution" convinced that their children must get proper education. So his parents braved a new world and immigrated to Sydney in 1973. Dr. Chen was privileged to study at Crows Nest Boys High and later at an exclusive private school, Barker College at Hornsby. After completion of the HSC, Dr. Chen decided to take on the challenges of dentistry at Sydney University.
Dr. Chen chose dentistry because of the interest he had developed after working part time at a dental surgery. Having graduated from the dental school at Sydney University in 1986, Dr. Chen worked in Liverpool for several years before opening his own dental practice in Haymarket to serve patients from Hong Kong and Taiwan who had come in large numbers in the late 80s to 90s. Today Dr. Chen practices general dentistry, he has a special interest in orthodontics and implants and continues his education through multiple courses and lectures.
